We are very proud to have achieved our THIRD Eco Schools Green Flag. At Snarestone we care about the world we live in and want to make our school community as sustainable as we can.
As a school, we have lots of fun running different activities to continue to raise awareness covering the nine areas of Eco learning in an engaging, enjoyable, action-orientated learning. It covers energy, water, biodiversity, school grounds, healthy living, transport, litter, waste and global perspective including local and national citizenship learning.
We learn about how we can look after our world and everything and everyone in it and as a whole school community we all work together. We have also achieved our Woodland Trust Schools Gold and Ambassador awards for our work in promoting biodiversity.
To further build on our Eco Schools goals, we also immerse ourselves in the Forest Schools Way! We have enhanced our school grounds with a mini forest schools area which is fantastic!
A very kind villager has also allowed us to use her woodland area on her land to further expand our education and skills in the great outdoors - thanks so much Mrs Bateman!
Our forest schools journey, with the help of Dave Churchward and his team from Little Acorns Forest Schools, help us further to ensure we make the most of the great outdoors!
