Enabling children to flourish and succeed

Our Church

St Bartholomew’s Church and Snarestone (CE) Primary School have been closely linked for three centuries, since the school was established in 1717. Today this strong link continues between the school and  St Bartholomew’s church, Snarestone (one of the eight churches of the Woodfield Team of churches) continues in various ways. I am Team Rector of the 8 churches, and actually live in Measham.

Members of the Woodfield Team staff visit the school to lead Collective Worship. The school is also visited by ‘Open the Book’, a team of Woodfield Parishioners who come to re-enact bible stories for the children in an active and fun way.

In recent years the whole School has come to church at the end of each term and for other special occasions to celebrate together – this is a link we all enjoy and everyone benefits from.

It is a great joy to have such strong connections between the school, the local church and the Parish – the tradition of centuries continues to thrive!
