Enabling children to flourish and succeed

Community

Our community forms a significant and meaningful part of our vision, whether it be our school community, our local community or our global community.

As a community, we are working together to ensure educational excellence underpinned by our Christian ethos and values. . .

Our Church Community

We are proud to have strong links with our local church in Snarestone, St. Bartholomew's. This includes whole school visits at Harvest, Christmas, Easter and the end of the year. It is at our church each term that we present our Spirit of Snarestone Awards to pupils who consistently uphold our Christian values.

Our Charity Links

We support a wide range of charities. Over the past year, these have included:

Macmillan Cancer Research, NSPCC, Ashby Food Bank, Children in Need, The Children's Society, Breast Cancer Awareness, Royal British Legion, Rainbows and LOROS.

Our Local Community

We have strong local links. In the past, this has included our choir being involved in the village nativity walk and singing carols at the Alpaca Tearooms and a local care home. We also take part in the annual Great British Spring Clean by litter-picking around our village.

The Linking Schools Project

We are very proud to be part of the Linking schools project, supported by the St. Phillips Centre. Our Year 3 and 4 pupils are linked with a class at Knighton Mead Primary Academy in Leicester. There are lots of exciting things planned this year as part of our link!
